Below is the Step 1 Lesson for 2/19/24. (mlsnweek1.pdf - bottom left of logo) The 1st week is always experimental, so we will take our time introducing each topic and even play a couple of modified games. If we end up going quickly there is ample material - If not we will get to it next week. I am providing POWERPOINT slides in PDF format. You should be able to take each of the positions - make them larger to be able to easily visualize or set them up on your board at home. Throughout the semester I will provide "stretch assignments". These are positions that are pretty difficult but are considered EXAMPLES of classical ideas That all players should eventually know. "Stretch Assignments" are meant to be fun/interesting and are not "homework ASSIGNMENTS".
